The Congregational Church was built ca. 1852. Before that the Church members had met in members' houses and then a number of buildings in Nag's Head Lane and Clapham Old Town. (Cleal, Edward Edney, The Story of Congregationalism in Surrey, 1908).
The 1852 church was badly damaged in 1944 and demolished ca. 1960 to be replaced by a new building. That building became part of the United Reformed Church and subsequently the Maranatha Ministries World Wide Centre. There was no graveyard at the Congregational Church. Older burials may have taken place at the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions church -- Clapham Holy Trinity. The Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Library has no inscriptions for Holy Trinity Clapham.
