Christ Church was built in 1851 in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Croydon St. John the Baptist in 1852 it became a new ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England in 1853.

Croydon St. John the Baptist
West Surrey Family History Society CD10 (The Surrey Burial Index) has burial records for Croydon St. John the Baptist from 1538 to 1852.

WSFHS CD12 (Croydon Parish Registers to 1753 and Croydon Monumental Inscriptions to 1882) has Christenings, Marriages and burials for Croydon St. John the Baptist from 1538 to 1753.
