The new ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. St. Peter's church was formerly part of the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Croydon St John the Baptist and St. Augustine was part of the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Sanderstead.


There is no graveyard at Emmanuel Church. However there are 745 names in the Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index for Croydon St. Peter's Church dating from 1841 to 1882. There are also 2,423 from the churchyard at Croydon St John the Baptist dating from 1390.

Both sets of inscriptions were collected ca. 1883 and published in "Croydon in the Past".

Croydon St. Peter
West Surrey Family History Society CD10 (The Surrey Burial Index) has burial records for Croydon St. Peter from 1852 to 1865.

WSFHS CD12 (Croydon Parish Registers to 1753 and Croydon Monumental Inscriptions to 1882) has Monumental Inscriptions for Croydon St. Peter from 1850 to 1881.

WSFHS CD15(Surrey Baptisms Not in the IGI) has baptismal records for Croydon St. Peter

from 1851 to 1875.

Croydon St. John the Baptist
West Surrey Family History Society CD10 (The Surrey Burial Index) has burial records for Croydon St. John the Baptist from 1538 to 1852.

WSFHS CD12 (Croydon Parish Registers to 1753 and Croydon Monumental Inscriptions to 1882) has Christenings, Marriages and burials for Croydon St. John the Baptist from 1538 to 1753.

WSFHS CD15(Surrey Baptisms Not in the IGI) has baptismal records for Croydon St. John the Baptist from 1538 to 1720, 1765 to 1799 and 1859 to 1876.
