WSFHS has just over 220 entries in the Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index for the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions Hambledon. The inscriptions were collected in 1978 by Gabrielle Mabley.

St Peter's church is in the United Parishan united parish is the merger of two or more Church of England parishes to form a single new parish of Godalming Minster comprising the churches of Hambledon St Peter, Busbridge St. John, Godalming St Peter and St Paul, St Mark's Church Franklyn Road Godalming.
