New ecclesiastical parishesan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England were created from the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Battersea St Mary:

Wandsworth Common St Michael (1883),
Battersea Rise St Mark (1883),
Battersea Park All Saints (1884),
Battersea St Stephen (1887),
Battersea St Luke (1900),
Battersea St Mary le Park (1935),
Battersea Christ Church was divided in 1872 to create Battersea Park St Saviour and in 1874 to create Battersea St. Peter. Battersea St Bartholomew was created in 1906 from Battersea St Philip and Clapham St. Paul.
Until the London Government Act 1899 came into force Penge (then in Kent and now in Greater London) was part of Battersea St Mary's Parish. The churches were: Christ Church Penge, Holy Trinity Penge, St John Penge and St Paul Penge
