According to the Diocesan records at some point St. Paul's became a separate parish but the two were merged ca 1939. The name of the parish was changed to Battersea St. Paul in 1948, and St. John's church was demolished around 1950. The parish was merged into Battersea St. Peter and St. Paul in 1972. The church is no longer in use, it seems to be used as a community centre. Part of the parish of Battersea St. John was moved into the new ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of Wandsworth St. Faith in 1884. There is no graveyard at St. Paul's church.
