The new ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. The parish was merged again in 2000 to create a new parish of Lavender Hill, The Ascension with Battersea, St Philip and St. Bartholomew.

St. Philip's church was declared redundant ca. 2007 and is now the St Mary Debre Tsion Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.

There is no graveyard at St. Philip's church. However the Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index has around 500 names for the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Battersea St. Mary
