This Roman Catholic church was opened in 1956 and replaced a temporary building. It became a separate ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England around 1935.

There were two Chapels of EaseA daughter church or churches within an ecclesiastical Parish, or a chapel in an outlying area of the parish that is more convenient for parishioners to attend to this church; Sheerwater, St John the Evangelist Church (opened in 1961 and closed at the end of 1995), and, Byfleet, St Thomas More (opened 1973 and closed 2006)

Our Lady Help of Christians is located in the Anglican ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of West Byfleet, St. John the Baptist.

There is no graveyard at the Church. However, Brookwood Cemetery is just over eight miles away; Woking Crematorium about six miles distant, and the graveyard of the Roman Catholic church of Sutton Place St. Edward the confessor is just over six miles away.


The church is in the Woking district of Surrey.
