Parts of the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Wonersh were moved into the new ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of Shamley Green in 1881. In 1937 parts of Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Wonersh were moved into the new ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of Blackheath and Chilworth. The parish web site states that a further re-organisation took place in 1998 which moved Blackheath back into Wonersh Parish.

WSFHS Surrey Baptisms Not in the IGI - 2nd edition 2009: has baptismal records for Wonersh St John the Baptist from 1539-1802;

WSFHS CD33 (Ancient Parishes in the Hambledon district) has baptismal records for Wonersh St John the Baptist from 1539-1841; Marriages from 1539-1837; and Burials from 1539-1841 .

The church is in the Anglican Diocese of Guildford. The Guildford Diocesan Record Office, where you should find any surviving registers for this parish, is the Surrey History Centre.

in the Waverley district of Surrey.
