There is no graveyard at this church. Wonersh and Blackheath Cemetery is between the two villages.

Blackheath Village is in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Wonersh St John the Baptist There was also a Congregational chapel in Blackheath, this is now a house.


West Surrey Family History Society CD10(Surrey Burial Index) has burial records for Wonersh St John the Baptist from 1539-1865;

WSFHS Surrey Baptisms Not in the IGI - 2nd edition 2009: has baptismal records for Wonersh St John the Baptist from 1539-1802;

WSFHS CD33 (Ancient Parishes in the Hambledon district) has baptismal records for Wonersh St John the Baptist from 1539-1841; Marriages from 1539-1837; and Burials from 1539-1841 .

The church is in the Anglican Diocese of Guildford. The Guildford Diocesan Record Office, where you should find any surviving registers for this parish, is the Surrey History Centre.


Blackheath Village is a locality within Wonersh (civil) parisha Civil Parish is the bottom most tier of local government in England Sometimes called Town Councils in urban areas
