Camberley St. Michael (originally known as York Town St. Michael) became a separate ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England
in 1851 when it was formed from part of the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Ash St Peter.
There was a daughter church, St George's built ca 1892 and demolished ca 1967. The proceeds of sale were used to fund St Martin's church. There are around 3,000 entries on the WSFHS name index from Camberley St Michael. They were noted by Paul and Heather Charlton in 2001.
