The Roman Catholic Church of St. Mary of Pity, Burpham was opened in June 1960 and closed in September 2003. The church was demolished some time after 2013 and the site is now a housing development.

The Catholic community in Burpham is now served by St. Pius X church in Merrow


There is no graveyard at the former St Mary of Pity Church, however there is a graveyard at St. Edward the Confessor R.C. church.

The former St Mary of Pitychurch was located in the Anglican ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of Burpham St. Luke which also has a graveyard.


Stoke Cemetery is about three miles away and Brookwood Cemetery is approximately seven miles away.


Burpham is in the Guildford district of Surrey.
