Parts of the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Wonersh were moved into the new ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of Shamley Green in 1881. In 1937 parts of Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Wonersh were moved into the new ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of Blackheath and Chilworth. The parish web site states that a further re-organisation took place in 1998 which moved Blackheath back into Wonersh Parish.
