Parts of the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions Windlesham were merged into new ecclesiastical parishesan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England : Valley End is now part of Chobham St Laurence parish

Windlesham St Alban was a chapel of ease for St John the Baptist




There are around 200 names from Windlesham in the Surrey monumental inscription index. They were were noted by Cliff Webb in 1977

West Surrey Family History Society CD10 (The Surrey Burial Index - 2nd edition 2009) has burial records for Windlesham St John the Baptist from 1695 to 1865.

WSFHS CD26(Parish Register Transcripts and Indexes in the Chertsey District) has Baptsimal records for Windlesham St John the Baptist from 1677-98 and 1717-1899 and Burial records for 1695-1865.

The church is in the Anglican Diocese of Guildford. The Guildford Diocesan Record Office, where you should find any surviving registers for this parish, is the Surrey History Centre.
