The inscriptions for St Lawrence churchyard were collected in October 1976 by Cliff & Dianne Webb. There are 315 names for St Lawrence in the Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index
"The vast majority of the stones have been taken down and laid out in paths, and as an inside border to parts of Churchyard wall. In this process and since some of them have been badly damaged, and considerable erosion has taken place particularly in area frequently walked upon. On the other hand some buried stones have been preserved by accumulation of silt"
