The original Christ Church was consecrated in 1671 using funds provided by the will of John Marshall. The parish comprised the Liberty of Old Paris Garden and was formerly part of the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Southwark St. Saviour. The church was destroyed during World War 2 and the present building was built in 1957 on part of the site of the former church.

West Surrey Family History Society CD15 (Surrey Baptisms Not in the IGI) has baptismal records for Southwark Christ Church from 1831 to 1833.

WSFHS CD24 (A 2nd Collection of Surrey Baptisms) has baptismal records for Southwark Christ Church from 1770 to 1789.

WSFHS CD29 (A 2nd Collection of Metropolitan Surrey Burials) has burial records for Southwark Christ Church from 1813 to 1838 and 1850 to 1856.

WSFHS CD39(A 3rd Collection of Surrey Baptisms) has baptismal records for Southwark Christ Church from 1710 to 1751 and 1790 to 1801

The church is in the Church of England Diocese of Southwark. The Southwark Diocesan Record Office, where you should find any surviving parish registers for this church, is the London Metropolitan Archives.
