The new ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of Stockwell St. Michael was created in 1845 part of the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of St. Mary Lambeth.

The church is now part of the United Parishan united parish is the merger of two or more Church of England parishes to form a single new parish of Stockwell with Stockwell Green St. Andrew.

There is no graveyard at St. Michael's Church. However there are around 1,000 names from Lambeth St. Mary dating from ca. 1504 to ca. 1899.

The church is in the Church of England Diocese of Southwark. The Southwark Diocesan Record Office, where you should find any surviving parish registers for this church, is the London Metropolitan Archives.


Stockwell St. Michael is in the London Borough of Lambeth.
