The original St. George church was built ca. 1937 as a Chapel of EaseA daughter church within an ecclesiastical Parish, or a chapel in an outlying area of the parish that is more convenient for parishioners to attend to Shirley St. John the Evangelist. The current building was built ca. 1952 and the former church is now used as a church hall.
