The inscriptions for St Andrew’s Church were noted by T. E. C. Walker in 1938. Our thanks to Surrey Archaeological Society for allowing us to copy material from their archives The Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index contains about 800 names dating from the mid 1700s through to the 1920s

Part of the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Cobham St. Andrew was moved into the new ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of Oxshott St. Andrew in 1913.

WSFHS CD 13(The Elmbridge Collection) has baptismal records for Cobham St Andrew from 1562 to 1565 and 1610 to 1840, Burials from 1562 to 1865 (with gaps) and Marriages from 1562 to 1837

WSFHS CD 15(Surrey Baptisms Not in the IGI) has baptismal records for Cobham St Andrew from 1813 to 1840

WSFHS CD 44(Some Ancient Parishes in the Epsom District) has baptismal records for Cobham St Andrew from 1562 to 1840, and Burial records from 1562 to 1865.

There is a municipal cemetery in the village


The church is in the Anglican Diocese of Guildford. The Guildford Diocesan Record Office, where you should find any surviving registers for this parish, is the Surrey History Centre.


Cobham is a village in the Elmbridge District of Surrey
