There are over 1,800 names for Haslemere St Bartholomew in the Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index. We also have just over 450 names in the Surrey MI Index for Chiddingfold. The Chiddingfold inscriptions were copied in 1980 and 1982 by Cliff and Diana Webb. A large number of the older stones in the Churchyard were completely illegible and were ignored. Many of those partially readable were incomplete. We also have copies of Cookayne's extracts of Haslemere MIs and Alfred Bax's survey ca 1908. Neither of these latter two have yet been transcribed.
