The chapel is now a house. It was used for worship from ca 1873 until ca 1995. There is no graveyard.

The Chiddingfold Providence Chapel is in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Chiddingfold St Mary. There are also a civil cemetery and a Roman Catholic church in Chiddingfold.


There are just over 450 names in the Surrey MI Index for Chiddingfold St Mary.

They were copied in 1980 and 1982 by Cliff and Diana Webb. A large number of the older stones in the Churchyard were completely illegible and were ignored. Many of those partially readable were incomplete.

Part of Chiddingfold Church of England parish was moved into the new Grayswood All Saints ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England in 1901


WSFHS CD33 (Ancient Parishes in the Hambledon district) has baptismal records for Chiddingfold St. Mary from 1573-75 and from 1595-1840; Marriages from 1563-1837; and Burials from 1563-1840.
