The cemetery is maintained by the Parish Council and is behind St Nicholas church and its graveyard.

WSFHS holds information on three war graves from World War 1 for Alfold Cemetery, and one from WW2.

There are around 306 names, including war graves, in the Surrey Monumental inscriptions for Alfold St Nicholas. The transcriptions in our collection were made by Miss S. Dale and Mr J. Babington in 1982.

The cemetery is in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Alfold St Nicholas.

WSFHS CD10(Surrey Burial Index) has burial records for Alfold St Nicholas from 1587 & 1658-1900.

WSFHS CD33(Ancient Parishes in the Hambledon district) has baptismal records for Alfold St Nicholas from 1587-88 and from 1658-1841, Marriages for 1587 and from 1659-1837; Burials for 1587 and from 1658-1840
