The church of the The Assumption of Our Lady is a Roman Catholic church

In the early part of the 20th Century Englefield Green was served by priests from Twickenham, there was a small chapel or mass centre in the grounds of Sandylands.

Around 1907 a small church - St. Cuthbert's - was built on Harvest Road. Ca. 1931 the new Church of Assumption of Our Lady opened on Harvest Road, with the old St. Cuthbert's church serving as the Parish Hall.

The church is part of the ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of St Cuthbert with the Church of St. John of Rochester in Egham Hythe and the Catholic Chaplaincy of Royal Holloway College.

There is no graveyard at the Assumption of Our Lady church, which is located in the Anglican ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. West Surrey Family History Society CD10 (The Surrey Burial Index - 2nd edition 2009) has burial records for Egham St John the Baptist from 1592 to 1865.

WSFHS CD 15 (Surrey Baptisms Not in the IGI) has baptismal records for Egham St John the Baptist from 1813 to 1840.

WSFHS CD 26 (Parish Register Transcripts and Indexes in the Chertsey District) has baptismal records for Egham St John the Baptist from 1560 to 1840 and Burial records from 1592 to 1840.
