I have not found any references to the name change from Richmond to Kew.
There is no graveyard at St. Luke's church. However Richmond St. John was originally a Chapel of EaseA daughter church within an ecclesiastical Parish, or a chapel in an outlying area of the parish that is more convenient for parishioners to attend to Richmond St. Mary Magdalene; some earlier burials may have taken place at St. Mary Magdalene. There are around 2,700 names for Richmond in the Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index. They come from a variety of sources, including the Archives of the Surrey Archaeological Society.
