Visited 2009 - An extensive interesting cemetery by the side of St Mary’s Church and Cemetery (no fences between). Chapel and old mortuary, 20,000 burials.

Winding paths, mature trees and hedges – cedars and yews. No laying down, little signs of vandalism although completely surrounded by town now. Long grass being strimmed on our visit. Mortuary now toilet (locked), map at entrance, also plots markers and subsidiary maps. A good place to visit.

Burial records kept at Redstone – searches available. Cemetery superintendent for both cemeteries very helpful and friendly.

The cemetery is in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Reigate.
