The former Mugswell Mission Hall is around 2miles from the parish church of Chipstead St. Margaret. The Mission Hall seems to have opened ca. 1900 as a Chapel of EaseA daughter church within an ecclesiastical Parish, or a chapel in an outlying area of the parish that is more convenient for parishioners to attend to St. Margaret's. The hall's use for worship seems to have stopped during the 1960s. The Parish now use the hall as a "village" hall for the hamlet of Mugswell.
