The Church of the Epiphany was built ca. 1950 as a Chapel of EaseA daughter church within an ecclesiastical Parish, or a chapel in an outlying area of the parish that is more convenient for parishioners to attend in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Merstham St Katherine

The church closed ca 2015 because of structural problems.

The was no graveyard at the Church of the Epiphany.

West Surrey Family History Society holds war grave information for Merstham St Katherine plus from a single page from Cockayne's notebook of 1878. The East Surrey Family History Society has the monumental inscriptions in their bookstall; go to their web site for more information .
