Ockley Cemetery is associated with St. Margaret's Church Ockley and is a few minutes walk along the track which passes the former church of St. John the Evangelist Ockley which was built ca. 1870 as a Chapel of EaseA daughter church within an ecclesiastical Parish, or a chapel in an outlying area of the parish that is more convenient for parishioners to attend for Ockley St. Margaret. St. John's church was declared redundant ca. 1980 and sold for housing.
Burials in Ockley Cemetery are recorded in the registers for St. Margarets church. West Surrey FHS has only war grave information for Ockley Cemetery; the monumental inscriptions for St. Margaret's were collected by volunteers in 1985. There are just over 600 names recorded in the Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index.
