The Methodist Church opened ca. 1893 with the name the Wesley Memorial Methodist Church. The building was last refurbished in 2004.

There is no graveyard at the Methodist church. Earlier burials may have taken place in the parish church - Leatherhead St. Mary and St. Nicholas - graveyard. The monumental Inscriptions from the parish church graveyard were collected by Alfred Bax ca 1890. His notes are in the archives of the Surrey Archaeological Society and were transcribed by WSFHS volunteers in October 2015. There are over 1,000 names from Leatherhead in the Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index Index
