The Chapel ceased to be used for worship in 2012 and is now owned by a preservation Trust. It was also known as the Charlwood Union Chapel There are around 160 names from Charlwood Providence Chapel in the Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index. The chapel is located in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of St Nicholas Charlwood. There are around 380 names from St. Nicholas in the Surrey MI Index.
