This church has no graveyard. It opened in around 1887 as a chapel of ease to St James's Church, it closed in the late 1970s
Abinger Hammer is in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Abinger St. James. The inscriptions in our Library for Abinger. St James were noted by Arthur Ridley Bax (1844-1918) in September 1890. Bax's notebooks are in the Library of Surrey Archaeological Society. They were filmed and transcribed by volunteers from West Surrey Family History Society and are used with permission.
Parts of Abinger parish were moved into Holmbury St Mary (1878) and Oakwood(1853)
