The church of St. Alban's Wood Street Village is a Chapel of EaseA daughter church within an ecclesiastical Parish, or a chapel in an outlying area of the parish that is more convenient for parishioners to attend in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of St Mary's Worplesdon

The current church was built ca. 1967 replacing the original mission church that was erected in 1928.

There is no graveyard at St Alban's church. However the monumental inscriptions for St Mary's Worplesdon were collected by Cliff and Diane Webb in 1976. There are around 280 names in the Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index from Worplesdon.

West Surrey Family History Society CD2 (Surrey Marriage Index to 1837) has marriage records for Worplesdon St. Mary from 1570 to 1837.

WSFHS CD8 (The Guildford Collection) has baptismal records for Worplesdon St. Mary from 1538 to 1539 and from 1570 to 1840, marriages from 1570 to 1837 and burials from 1570 to 1865.

WSFHS CD10 (The Surrey Burial Index) has burial records for Worplesdon St. Mary from 1570 to 1878.

WSFHS CD15 (Surrey Baptisms Not in the IGI) has baptismal records for Worplesdon St. Mary from 1538 to 1539, from 1570 to 1776 and from 1833 to 1840.

WSFHS CD30 (Ancient Parishes in the Guildford District) has baptismal records for Worplesdon St. Mary from 1538 to 1539 and from 1570 to 1840 and burials from 1570 to 1865.
