The church of St. Alban's Wood Street Village is a Chapel of EaseA daughter church within an ecclesiastical Parish, or a chapel in an outlying area of the parish that is more convenient for parishioners to attend in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of St Mary's Worplesdon
The current church was built ca. 1967 replacing the original mission church that was erected in 1928. There is no graveyard at St Alban's church. However the monumental inscriptions for St Mary's Worplesdon were collected by Cliff and Diane Webb in 1976. There are around 280 names in the Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index from Worplesdon.
