Stoke Hill St. Peter is a shared Church of England and United Reformed Church congregation. The church is also known as Bellfields St. Peter's Shared Church or Guildford St. Peter.

The new ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of Stoke Hill was formed in 1972 from parts of the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Stoke-next-Guildford; and the ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of Guildford, St. Luke Burpham.

There is no graveyard at ST. Peter's church.

The Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Library includes some 988 names for Stoke-next-Guildford which date from the mid 1700s to the mid 1900s.

Stoke New Cemetery is in the ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of Stoke Hill St Peter; directly opposite the "New cemetery" is Stoke Old Cemetery which is is within the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Stoke-next-Guildford



West Surrey Family History Society CD8 The Guildford Collection has baptismal records for Stoke-next-Guildford St. John the Evangelist from 1662 to 1840, marriages from 1662 to 1837 and burials from 1662 to 1865.

WSFHS CD10 (The Surrey Burial Index - 2nd edition 2009) has burial records for Stoke-next-Guildford St. John the Evangelist from 1662 to 1865.

WSFHS CD30 (Ancient Parishes in the Guildford District) has baptismal records for Stoke-next-Guildford St. John the Evangelist from 1662 to 1840 and burials from 1662 to 1865.

The church is in the Anglican Diocese of Guildford. The Guildford Diocesan Record Office, where you should find any surviving registers for this parish, is the Surrey History Centre.


Stoke Hill is now a locality in the Guildford district of Surrey.
