Ripley was originally a ChapelryA Chapel of Ease within an Anglican Parish, or a chapel in an outlying area of the parish that is more convenient for parishioners to attend in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Send St. Mary the Virgin. It became a seperate ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England in 1878.

WSFHS CD10 (The Surrey Burial Index) has burial records for Ripley St. Mary Magdalene from 1742 to 1865.

WSFHS CD30(Ancient Parishes in the Guildford District) has baptismal records for Ripley St. Mary Magdalene from 1740 to 1840, marriages from 1813 to 1836 and burials from 1742 to 1840.
