It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England in 1878. Ripley WSFHS CD10 (The Surrey Burial Index) has burial records for Ripley St. Mary Magdalene from 1742 to 1865. WSFHS CD30(Ancient Parishes in the Guildford District) has baptismal records for Ripley St. Mary Magdalene from 1740 to 1840, marriages from 1813 to 1836 and burials from 1742 to 1840.
