St Stephen on the Downs, Langley Vale is a Chapel of EaseA daughter church within an ecclesiastical Parish, or a chapel in an outlying area of the parish that is more convenient for parishioners to attend in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Epsom. The original mission church was erected ca 1919 and replaced by the current church in 1961.
There is no graveyard at St. Stephen's church. However there are around 1,700 names in the Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index for Epsom St. Martin. WSFHS also holds a copy of Alfred Bax's survey of the Inscriptions for Epsom St Martin, the notes are undated but thought to be ca 1890.
