This Roman Catholic Church was built ca. 1931 and replaced a "tin tabernacle" which had been used since ca. 1905.

Historical notes on English Catholic missions, Kelly, Bernard W. (Rev), 1907:
This mission was founded through the efforts of Fr. E. du Plerney, of Surbiton. A house bearing the somewhat appropriate name of ' Stonyhurst,' in the Vine Road, was acquired for the purpose of a mission centre, and Mass said here for the first time in September 1905. The chapel was at first served every Sunday from Surbiton. Catholics of the district are estimated at about 250. Rev. H. Willaert, rector Sept. 1906.

There is no graveyard at the church. The nearest cemetery is Molesey Cemetery. However pre 1861 burials may have taken place in the Anglican parish church -- St. Mary's

There are around 110 names for East Molesey in the Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index. St Mary’s churchyard was closed to new burials by an Order made in 1861.
