Around 1942 a mass centre was built as a Chapel of EaseA daughter church within an ecclesiastical Parish, or a chapel in an outlying area of the parish that is more convenient for parishioners to attend to South Croydon St. Gertrude. It was in the building adjacent to the present church. The Mass centre closed after World War 2 and the present church was built ca. 1957.

Holy Family Church is in the (Anglican) Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Sanderstead.

There is no graveyard at the Holy Family Church. Earlier burials may have taken place in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions church


We know of only three Roman Catholic cemeteries in the London area, St. Mary's in Kensal Green, St. Patrick's in Leytonstone, and St. Mary Magdalene in Mortlake.

West Surrey Family History Society CD10 (The Surrey Burial Index) has burial records for Sanderstead All Saints from 1567 to 1875.
