The new ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of St James' Riddlesdown was created in 1925 from parts of the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Coulsdon St. John the Evangelist and the ecclesiastical parishesan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of Purley Christ Church and Kenley All Saints.

There is no graveyard at St. James's Church.

WSFHS CD15(Surrey Baptisms Not in the IGI) has baptismal records for Coulsdon St John the Evangelist from 1857 to 1875.
