WSFHS has just over 100 names for memorials at the Meadrow Chapel. Burials ceased around 1869.


The chapel is in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Godalming St Peter and St Paul.

Older burials may also have taken place in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions church. The Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index has around 1100 names for St Peter and St Paul. The inscriptions were collected for WSFHS in 1984 by Alan & Kathleen Benny,

We have also acquired an digital copy of Cokayne,G.E. Surrey parish registers & MI's, Volume IV which includes some Godalming St Peter and St Paul MIs.

WSFHS CD30(Ancient Parishes in the Guildford district) has baptismal records for Godalming St Peter and St Paul for 1582-1840, Marriages for 1583-1837 and Burials for 1583-1840.

The church is in the Anglican Diocese of Guildford. The Guildford Diocesan Record Office, where you should find any surviving registers for this parish, is the Surrey History Centre.
