There has been a Christian Science presence in Godalming since the 1930s. The present church was built ca. 2018.


The Church is in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Godalming St Peter and St Paul.

There is no burial ground at the Godalming Christian Science Church. Older burials may have taken place in the parish church -- St Peter and St Paul.

The Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index has around 1,100 names for St Peter and St Paul Godalming. The inscriptions were collected for West Surrey FHS in 1984 by Alan & Kathleen Benny,

We also have a digital copy of Cokayne,G.E. Surrey parish registers & MI's, Volume IV which includes some Godalming St Peter and Paul MIs. Our thanks to Surrey Archaeological Society for allowing us to copy material from their archives

[NB Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have different systems of local government]
in the Waverley district of Surrey.
