Dockenfield was originally a Tithing in the Alton Hundreda hundred was an old administrative division of the County. By the late 19th century it had lost any importance. of Hampshire, but part of Frensham Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions . It was transferred to Surrey in 1895.

Parts of Frensham Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions were transferred into new ecclesiastical parishes:
West Surrey Family History Society CD2 (Surrey Marriage Index to 1837) has records marriage for Frensham St. Mary the Virgin for 1649-1837.

WSFHS CD10(The Surrey Burial Index) has burial records for WSFHS CD15 (Surrey Baptisms Not in the IGI) has baptismal records for: WSFHS CD18 (Metropolitan Surrey Burials Index including some Rural Parishes) has burial records for Frensham St Mary from 1866-1875.

WSFHS CD42 (Ancient Parishes in the Farnham district) has records for Frensham St. Mary the Virgin: Baptisms 1650-1840, Marriages 1649-1837 and Burials 1649-1840.

The church is in the Anglican Diocese of Guildford. The Guildford Diocesan Record Office, where you should find any surviving registers for this parish, is the Surrey History Centre.
