Camberley St. Michael (originally known as York Town St. Michael) became a separate ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England in 1851 when it was formed from part of the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which, until the 19th century, had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Ash St Peter.

There was a daughter church, St George's built ca 1892 and demolished ca 1967. The proceeds of sale were used to fund St Martin's church.

There are around 3,000 entries on the WSFHS name index from Camberley St Michael. They were noted by Paul and Heather Charlton in 2001.

West Surrey Family History Society CD10(Surrey Burial Index) has burial records for Camberley St Michael from 1851-1865 and 1875-1903.

WSFHS CD24(A 2nd Collection of Surrey Baptisms) has Baptismal records for the Royal Military College from 1813-76.

WSFHS CD29(A 2nd Collection of Metropolitan Surrey Burials (including some rural parishes) has Burial records for the Royal Military College from 1829-1877.

The church is in the Anglican Diocese of Guildford. The Guildford Diocesan Record Office, where you should find any surviving registers for this parish, is the Surrey History Centre.

Camberley St Michael is in the Surrey Heath district of Surrey.
