WSFHS has a copy of Alfred Bax's notes for Horne St Mary taken in June 1886 (on a "dull and wet day"). These were transcribed and indexed by volunteers during 2017. There are just over 440 names in the Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index for Horne.

Horne St Mary the Virgin was originally a chapelry in the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Bletchingley. It became a separate ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England in 1705.
