Virginia Water was a new ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England created from the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Egham St John the Baptist in 1839

It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England created from St John the Baptist were Egham Hythe St Paul(1930) and Englefield Green(1929)




There are 1,345 names for Virginia Water in the Surrey Monumental Inscriptions Index, they date from 1780 to the 20th century.

There are also just over 800 names for Egham St John the Baptist in the Index which date from early to late 19th century.
