Our inscriptions for Capel come from a number of sources including Alfred Bax’s collection of the 1890s. There are around 470 names from Capel St John in the Surrey MI Index

We have acquired a digital copy of Cokayne,G.E. Surrey parish registers & MI's, Volume VI which includes some Capel MIs. At 24 June 2015 this has not been transcribed nor indexed.

Parts of the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Capel St John the Baptist were moved into the new ecclesiastical parishan ecclesiastical parish is an administrative area within the Church of England or Roman Catholic church. It is distinct from the civil parish, a local government unit in England of Coldharbour in 1848
