The inscriptions for the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Ashtead were noted by Arthur Ridley Bax (1844-1918). The notes are undated and were probably made around 1880 or 1890. There are around 400 names in the Index and include war graves from both World Wars.
Bax's notebooks are in the Library of Surrey Archaeological Society. They were filmed and transcribed by volunteers from West Surrey Family History Society and are used with permission.
