The original Holy Trinity parish church was demolished under the authority of an Act of Parliament in 1774 and the new Holy Trinity parish church was opened in 1776 on the present site. A new chapel - St Paul - was built adjacent to the site of the old parish church

The Surrey Monumnetal Inscriptions Library has no inscriptions for Holy Trinity Clapham. There is a transcript in the Library of the Society of Genealogists in London

A number of new parishes were created from the Ancient Parishan Ancient Parish is a Church of England parish which had both ecclesiastical and civil functions of Clapham Holy Trinity Clapham Park St Stephen was formerly part of Streatham St. Mary (sometimes know as Balham St. Mary). It became a separate parish in 1905.
